What exclusive use means here
The estate is let on its own, to one party at a time, for a minimum of two nights.
For the length of your stay, La Valouze belongs to you. Not one wing of it, not the hall and the lawn, but the château, the Grand Hall, the winter garden, the terrace, the pool and all thirty-four hectares. There is no other booking running alongside yours, no shared entrance and no other party’s music across the park.

Not only weddings
The estate also takes private celebrations (birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions), corporate events and seminars, with the Grand Hall taking a plenary of two hundred and the salons taking the breakouts, and editorial and fashion shoots, which happen here regularly. Families and groups of friends also take the whole place for a week in summer, without an event at all.
Whatever the occasion, the principle does not change: one booking at a time, two nights minimum, and the whole estate.
A word about the wedding planner
A three-day wedding for a hundred guests, most of whom are flying in, in a village in the Dordogne, with a caterer, a florist, a band and a shuttle to organise, is a serious piece of work. The planners we work with have done it here before. It is the single thing that most reliably separates a weekend that runs and a weekend that does not.
